Congratulations to our client! Travis Lindsey and his team were in Denver, Colorado last week arguing against a summary judgement. The insurer, after participating in appraisal, refused to pay the appraisal award, posturing that the insured’s appraiser was biased due to having participated in one prior appraisal involving the same general contractor. Travis and his team effectively demonstrated to the Court that there was no bias, thus the $𝟏.𝟐𝐌𝐌 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬. Great job to everyone that supported this effort. Now on to the breach of contract, unreasonable delay, and bad faith arguments.
